The values we have worked out are as follows:


30% or less = easy 

40% or less = moderate

50% or less = doable

60%+ = need an excellent site with high page and domain authority.

70%+ = forget about it


Competition is only one part of the picture to consider. A high niche value and lower competition value is one of the first things we look for in search results. The next would be the number of searches. Once this criteria is met, double-click on the interesting keywords and review the data from the top ten websites ranking for that particular keyword. All of this combined should give you a sense of whether or not a keyword is worth going after.
